Wren Louis Mauer
Wren Louis Mauer died at home with his wife by his side on Friday,
November 17, 2006 shortly before 12:00 noon. He was 57 and died of
cirrhosis of the liver due to alcoholism. Wren was a native of New
Orleans, LA and a resident of Jefferson, LA for the past 20 years.
Beloved husband of Patricia Feeney Mauer. Loving father to Joseph
Patrick, Jesse Ian and Mickey Louis Mauer. Father-in-law of Peggy
Mauer who gave birth at home to Wren's grandson, Demitri Louis Mauer
an hour before Wren's death. Joseph and Peggy also have a daughter,
Zoe Elizabeth, 20 months. Son of the late Charles Louis Mauer, Sr.
and Lorraine Mauer. Brother of Linda, Mary and the late Louis Mauer,
Jr. Also survived by a son from his first marriage, Wren Louis Mauer,
Jr. Wren was a member of the Phi Lambda Epsilon educational
fraternity. Wren was a hard working, friendly and fun loving man. He
will be greatly missed by many people, but most of all by his
family. The last words he spoke were ""I love you Jesus, I give you
my heart.'' No service will be held, according to his wishes. A
Celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
