Friday 2/28:  On the Road to Fort Myers

Saturday 3/1:  First Game Ever in Osceola Stadium

 
Correspondents Clayton Berg and David Berwick report the Astros, in their first ever game in the newly-renovated Osceola County Stadium. nipped the Yankees 4-2.  Roger Clemens went two innings and was touched by a homer by Astro's first baseman Jeff "Porky" Bagwell. Dave tried to interview Yogi Berra but a security guard in the dugout told Dave they were playing a game.  Dave pleaded that YOGI wasn't playing, but was told to move on anyway.

Sunday 3/2:  The Yankees beat the Tampa Bay Devil Rays 5-4, scoring a run in the bottom of the 9th.  Rondell White homered and scored three times.

Monday 3/3:  Double Header
Monday's game, Andy Pettitte started for New York and pitched two perfect innings.  Then, Wang started the third and proceeded to give up 7 runs.  New York tried to come back, homers by Soriano, Godzilla, and Post.  But lose 9-8.

Hammond Stadium in Ft. Myers has the worst back stop screen in ALL of baseball (this includes playground, high school, college, bush league, sand lot, and whiffle ball).

In the night game, 20 game winner Derek Lowe, started for Boston and gave up a 1st inning homer to Corey Hunter.  Manny Ramirez went yard in the bottom of the 1st.  Redsox's get 2 runs in the top of the 8th to win 6-4.

Tuesday 3/4:    
Mardi Gras in Dunedin, FL., home of the Toronto Blue Jays, take on the Pirates of Pittsburgh.  The Pirates were on top in the 8th, 7-3, when Dave Berg went downtown.  Blue Jays rally to win 10-9.  Everybody had on Mardi Gras beads and parade followed the game.
