Beaver Memorial Poker Tournament

Michael Thomason was a loyal Phi Lambda Epsilon brother who drowned in St. Rita's Nursing Home along with 27 others in St. Bernard during Hurricane Katrina.  Beaver, like his mother, was stricken with the worst form of Multiple Sclerosis, usually fatal by a patient's 50th birthday.  He was confined to St. Rita's nursing home in Violet, Louisiana which was flooded with 10 feet of water and drowned 27 patients in the single largest loss of life from Hurricane Katrina.

Beaver was my "little brother" and never was there a more dedicated Phi Lamb.  It is our attempt to honor him with an afternoon of cutting up, drinking and playing cards---something Beaver would gladly attend had his life not been cut short by disease and human stupidity.

We hope you will attend and help us honor Beaver, and donate a portion of the money to the Multiple Sclerosis Society in Beaver and PLE's name.
